TISSUE COMPLIANCE/PAIN

This is a series of three small, lightweight,
handheld devices designed for the measurement of the compliance (hardness) of
human skin tissue.
The device probes automatically collect data
from a selected test site (i.e. fingertips, breast, spine) and records it in
gm/mm2 via a supporting software program.
All compliance measurements are traceable to
the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and to applicable
ASTM standards.
Each of the three devices incorporates a
force-specific probe and is designed to optimize the validity and reliability
of the measurements taken at specific locations on the body.
